2. Setup Your System

What does Setting up your System mean?

To make the most of your Prosperity Rising system, you need to make sure you have all the information setup correctly, such as your profile, your ads, your links and the list building and income building programs.

1.  Profile

It’s vital that your profile is setup correctly.  Click on the Profile link in your back office and make sure your name, email address, Paypal email and Clickbank ids are entered correctly.  If you do not have a ClickBank ID, you can leave this blank for now.  Make sure you have a valid Paypal email so that you can get paid for your referral upgrades.

Password: If you need to change your password, click the Change Password link at the bottom and enter your new password.

2.  Ads

It’s important that you setup at least ONE ad in the Prosperity Rising System.  As you earn credits using the system, your ad will be seen.  I recommend setting up a banner type ad, however, a text ad works as well.  Instructions are below for both.

Setting up a text ad

Step 1.  Your Title

This is for your reference only and will not be seen by anyone but you.  You can choose to title your ad based on what you are advertising.

Example:

I want to advertise my main GVO affiliate website:

GoGVO Main Site

If  I wanted to promote one of the lead capture pages I may   use a title like this:

Categories

Select the applicable Categories.  If you want to select them all, put your mouse at the top of the list and press CTRL A to select all.  I recommend you select all.

Step 2.  What will your ad look like?

This is where you either enter your text ad or upload a banner ad.  I will offer instructions here for both.

TEXT AD Example: In this example I will focus on advertising GVO.  Enter the following Text.  I recommend you bold the text so it shows up better on the ad (you will have the opportunity to test it).

NOTICE: Your text ad must fit in the box or admin will not approve it.  The ad above fits, make sure you test!

If you prefer to setup a graphic or banner ad, here are the instructions

BANNER AD Ad Example:

Instead of entering text, leave this section blank and move down below the text area to the Image area.  Click on “BROWSE”.  Locate your banner graphic (note below), select the file then choose Upload Image.  You will see your graphic appear in the box where the text would go.

Note: You will need to save the banner graphic to your desktop.  To promote GVO, login to your GoGvo affiliate back office, go to the Banner section.  Locate the banner you wish to promote (should be 468X60 in size).  Put your mouse over the graphic, right click and save.  This will save the graphic to your computer – either to your desktop or your downloads directory.  Once downloaded, you can follow the instructions above to upload your graphic to Prosperity Rising.

Step 3.  Where should people go when they click your link

This is an important step as you want to make sure you are sending your visitors to the right link.  As I am advertising GVO, I will enter my gogvo link like this:

Step 4. Save your ad, how does it look?

Click on SAVE – it is IMPORTANT you save BEFORE you preview!

Click on PREVIEW to see what your ad will look like when presented in the system.  You can edit your colours and font if you wish.

Step 5.  Has your ad been approved?

All ads must be approved by admin and this normally happens within 24 hours (maybe longer on a weekend).  Once your ad is approved by admin, your ad will immediately be seen within the system.

Now let’s move on and learn how to earn credits by using the Prosperity Rising Cloaking Links!

3.  Links

Creating a LINK to use for advertising does a few things for you.

1. It “cloaks” your affiliate link so that your visitor cannot go to a different site.  They will not see the true web address.
2. It tracks your visitors to your website so that you can see the effectiveness of your marketing.
3. You earn ad credits every time someone clicks one of your cloaked links.   Your credits are used to display the ads we setup in Step 2.

In this example, I will show you how to setup your first cloaked, tracking link.

Here is an ad I use to promote GVO.  Notice my GVO affiliate link in my ad.

In the example below, I show you how I setup the cloaked link that I replaced my affiliate link in the ad.  Continue reading.

From the Links menu in your back office, scroll down to the “Links Generator” section.

Enter a target website address

This is where you enter the web address of the program are you wanting to promote.  In this exercise, I am going to create a link for my GVO website.  In my ad above, I am wanting to promote my GVO affiliate link.  So in the section for Targeted website Address I put:

http://janetlegere.gogvo.com

Enter a short description for the website (visitors will NOT see it)

This is for your personal use only to track your ads.  You can use this section for easy reference to track hits to a website.

Examples. Let’s say I want to send the ad above to my List Joe list and see how responsive it is.  I may choose a description something like this:

GVO to ListJoe Nov 15

If you wanted to send this ad to an Ezine and track links for your solo ad, you might use a subject like this:

GVO to EZINE X Solo Ad Nov 15

Choose All the Categories that apply

I recommend you choose all categories.  Your ad will be seen by a wider variety of subscribers.

Generate Prosperity Rising Link

Click the button to create your link.  You will now see your link listed something like this:

Now let’s show you how to use your newly created link.
